Service To The Community

This is definitely "what we are talking about." On Saturday, May 1, the First Baptist Church of Athens sent a crew of their membership to our shelter to work on needed projects. The group had checked with us earlier to plan the projects that they would do. The group arrived at 8:30 and were done by 11:00. They came with pre-constructed covers for 8 outdoor kennels, pruned about 20 large trees, planted "color" planter pots to enhance our facility, and arranged our outdoor adoption visitation area. The improvement was amazing. The Church had done similar projects for us last year. These people are just unbelievable.........other church members were in other parts of town doing deeds for other groups. All involved are so eagar to work. This church has a lesson for us all.........reach out and be of service. Lots of "tail waggings and purrs" to the First Baptist Church.....again!
